About Us |
What We Do |
The Texas A&M Global Business Brigades is a chapter of Global Brigades at Texas A&M's Mays School of Business. Global Brigades is the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Specifically, Global Business Brigades works to empower economic development by providing financial literacy education along with business development and counseling skills to micro-entrepreneurs.
|
Every spring break, we send a group of passionate students on a week-long brigade trip where students work hard to apply their business knowledge to help small businesses flourish and positively impact people living in these communities.
At A&M, this program provides 3-hour credit for a required IBUS course. We meet once a week throughout the semester in order to prepare for departure! |
We encourage everyone to apply! This includes all majors, not just business students. The most important part of being a brigader is having a passion to help our community members and impact their lives!
Why YOU should join us (a note from this year's brigade president):
"It is my mission to allow every brigader the opportunity to use their knowledge to empower the community in which we work. When you join this brigade, you will become a small part in a large international non-profit providing aid to under-resourced communities. This humbling experience will help you develop strong communication skills, learn about yourself as a leader, and gain a greater appreciation for different cultural perspectives. If you would like to know more, feel free to reach out to us!"
